What we collect
Analytics data. Which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, which browser and device they use, and how they arrived. This is aggregate and we cannot identify you from it.
Anything you send us. If you email us, we keep your address and your message so we can reply. We do not use it for anything else, and we do not have a mailing list to add you to.
We do not ask for or store payment details. Purchases happen on the retailer’s own site, under their terms and their privacy policy.
Cookies
- Analytics cookies. Used to count visits and see which articles are useful. Data retention is set to 14 months.
- Affiliate cookies. Set by retailers when you click through to them, so they know the visit came from here. Typically 24 hours for Amazon, longer for direct programmes. These are set by the retailer, not by us.
- Advertising cookies. Where display advertising is running, set by the ad network to decide which ads you see.
You can block or delete all of these in your browser settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.
Who we share information with
Our analytics provider, our advertising partner where one is active, and the affiliate networks whose links you choose to click. That is the complete list. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else.
Your rights
Under Canadian PIPEDA, and under GDPR if you are in the UK or EU, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will action it within thirty days. Given how little we hold, this is usually a short conversation.
Children
This site is aimed at adults buying winter clothing and is not directed at anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
